West End revealed
It was a perfect day for the West End Reveal under the blue skies on the west end of town behind Walgreens. Teams participated in the Pink Paddle Pickleball racquet tournament to benefit the Pink Arrow Pride. Among the prizes for the winners were pickles. Golf cart shuttles transported people back and forth between the brand new North Grand Riverfront Park and the Lowell Township Park with an island in between. Spanning the Grand River is the impressive wooden bridge structure on concrete pillars. Pink ribbons with names were tied to the bridge. Many pedestrians also walked across the beautiful bridge. The West End Reveal was a part of the Pink Arrow Community Day. The Fur Trade Interpretive Cabin, also called Yeiter Meeting Cabin, opened right next to the Corner Stop Ice Cream. A ten-foot-wide paved asphalt trail connects the two parks.
