The Lowell varsity girls soccer team took on three OK White conference foes in this year’s district tournament. The Lady Arrows were able to beat both Greenville and Northview before falling to FHN in the district finals.
LHS shut out Greenville for the third time this season in the district quarterfinals by a score of 8-0. The Arrows saw goals from Khloe Hayes (3), Isabel Remar (2), Maloryn Mrozinski (2), and Regan Coxon. Remar, Maddie Halfmann, Amber Clouse, and Hailey Halfmann all recorded assists. Callie Ingram and Abby White both helped record the shutout in the 8-0 win at Greenville.
In the district semifinals, the girls battled back against a strong Northview team to win 3-1. Maddie Halfmann (2) and Jaki Hayes were the goalscorers for LHS to book their spot in the district championship game held Friday at Cedar Springs against state-ranked FHN. It was the team’s third win against the Wildcats as well. In the championship game, the Huskies took a quick lead before Lowell struck back with a goal from Hayes. The Huskies were able to take advantage of several long-range goals to defeat LHS 9-1. The team ended their season third in the conference and with a 13-7 record.
