Two clean sheets for Lowell soccer last week

The Red Arrow varsity boys soccer team was able to pick up two conference wins last week without conceding a single goal.

On Tuesday night, Lowell hosted Greenville. The Yellow Jackets played very well with their goalkeeper producing some great saves to keep Greenville in the game. Lowell opened the scoring early in just the second minute of play as Nate Ryan scored a goal. He would also add another just before half to make it 2-0 at halftime.

While the shots on goal were fairly one-sided in favor of the Red Arrows, Lowell goalkeeper Sebastian Szymanski produced an excellent save in the 68th minute to preserve the clean sheet. Szymanski, along with the back four of Rohan Dixon, Ben Thompson, Brett Evink, and Justin Wade were all excellent last week in the two shutouts.

Ezra Stadt would score the final goal for the Red Arrows to finish up a 3-0 victory.

On Wednesday, Lowell defeated Cedar Springs 2-0 on the road. Goals were scored by Nate Ryan and Braiden Hamilton. Szymanski earned the win in goal.
