Nov. 14 through Dec. 23. The annual LowellArts Holiday Artists Market, featuring artwork by over 50 area artists. Artwork and other handmade items by Michigan artists are available for purchase during the gift-giving season. Gift items include: pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, textiles, glasswork, handbags, woodwork, metal-work, wreaths, basketry, ornaments, candles, soaps, and more. LOWELLARTS THEATER: PLAYBYTES BY PLAYWRIGHTS
Nov. 1,2, 3, 8 and 8. LowellArts Players presents Playbytes by Playwrights - a competition and production of 10-minute plays. Playwrights submit original plays that fit the theme: Lost and Found. From the many entries, eight are chosen to be performed. These plays are judged and one playwright is given a $500 cash award. Friday and Saturday shows: 7 pm; Sunday show: 2 pm. CHRISTMAS IN FALLASBURG
Dec. 14, 6-8 pm. Fallasburg schoolhouse, 13944 Covered Bridge Rd., North of Lowell. The 150-year-old schoolhouse opens its doors to welcome you with traditional holiday music by the Hawks & Owls band, beer and wine, cheese, cider, coffee and our famous Fallasburg buffet. THE ART OF CHANGE AT LOWELLARTS
Jan. 9 - Feb. 15. The Art of Change is an exhibition of art that raises awareness of important social issues of our time in an effort to provoke positive change. Artists are invited to submit artwork for the exhibition, in any medium, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional. To be eligible, artists should be from Michigan, age 14+. PUB POKER RUN
